Yavapai Humane Trappers Animal Search and Rescue (YHT) was founded by Katrina Karr who has dedicated the last six years of her life to saving animals that need help. They have more than 30 years of experience in finding rescue animals their forever homes.

“It takes a village” is the philosophy behind this incredible all-volunteer Arizona organization. We became an official 501(c)(3) in November of 2019, although our work began long before that. With only a moment’s notice, day or night, this group travels to help animals. Yavapai Humane Trappers has taken animals that other rescues are unable to help. We serve all of Yavapai County in Arizona, and frequently travel to the Navajo, Hopi, and Apache reservations and anyplace else there is an animal in need and no other resources are available.
